A classic rhone blend of 85% grenache and 15% mourvedre produced from some of the oldest grenache plantings in the Napa Valley.  Harvested from the McGah Vineyard on the southern border of Rutherford.

Aged in one year old 60 gallon French oak barrels for 13 months which provides elegant structure yet allows the purity of the fruit to shine,

2019 Longfellow Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford

2019 Sauvignon Blanc

Our inaugural vintage of Sauvignon Blanc.  100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the McGah Vineyard on the southeastern border of the Rutherford appellation.  Despite some ups and downs early in the growing season, a warm and not too hot late summer created nearly perfect harvest conditions in 2019.  The wine was aged in 80 gallon stainless steel barrels to promote and develop aromatic purity.

Harvested from twenty-year old vines planted with the To Kalon clone, the block was farmed to yields (less than four tons per acre) typically not seen with Sauvignon Blanc.  The result was more consistent ripeness throughout the block which added a unique richness and texture to balance the grapes natural acidity.
