Shipping of Wine

Due to the complexity of local laws regarding the shipment of wine, shipping rates and schedules vary depending on your “ship-to” state. We currently ship wine to 20 states, however some of our items may be unavailable in certain of these states. Wine orders are shipped through a licensee and may require additional shipping time depending on which state you live in. Wine orders are shipped via either UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.

Adult Signature Required

All orders containing alcoholic beverages require an adult signature upon delivery. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to provide us with a commercial address for delivery of your wine purchases whenever possible.

Shipping Holds Due to Weather

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We constantly monitor weather conditions and may hold your wine orders during periods of extreme heat in order to avoid damage.

If no one is available to receive your package two subsequent attempts to deliver will be made. If delivery still cannot be made, your order will be returned to us. Wine orders require an adult signature, so whenever possible, we strongly encourage you to use a commercial business address to assure the fastest delivery time.

Please note that in order to avoid having your wines sitting in a hot shipping facility over a weekend, wines to these states will only be shipped on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (your order must be received by 9am Pacific the day prior):

These states have highly regulated laws. These orders must be shipped through a licensee and will require additional transit time. Orders must be received by 10am Pacific on Tuesday in order to ship by Thursday of the same week. Orders received after the cutoff will ship on Thursday of the following week.

Bottle Limits & Availability

In some instances, state laws regulate product availability and/or wine purchase limitations. Working within state and local laws may prevent our ability to fulfill your order requests. We currently ship wine to 26 states. Certain states allow a specific number of bottles per order.

Following is a list of bottle limits by state:

 

Illinois: Limit is 2 cases per year per consumer per address
Louisiana: Limit is 4 cases per year per consumer per address.
Missouri: Limit is 2 cases per year per consumer per address.
Nebraska: Limit is 1 case per month per consumer per address.
Nevada: Limit is 12 cases per year per consumer per address.
New Hampshire: Limit is 60 bottles (up to 1 liter each) per calendar year per consumer per address.
New Mexico: Limit is 2 cases per month per consumer per address.
North Dakota: Limit is 1 case (9 liters) per month consumer per address.
Oregon: Limit is 2 cases per month per consumer per address.
West Virginia: Limit is 2 cases per month per consumer per address.
Wyoming: Limit is 2 cases per 12 month period per consumer per address.
